About
I'm a Twin Cities transplant from north-central Minnesota. After four years at the U of M, I've kind of bounced back and forth between Minneapolis and my home up north. In my free time, I love skate and snowboarding, playing guitar, and hanging out any place outside.
Experience
Apart from graphic design, I've spent about six years in the service industry, and am currently bartending at Deacon's Lodge in Breezy Point. I spent summer 2017 as an assistant at Action Graphics, a vinyl design shop in Baxter, MN, and have had a good number of freelance clients keeping me busy over the last few years.
Skills
I'm super interested in branding and like to think I have a decent working knowledge of how to build an effective brand system for the context. Outside of that, I've dipped my toe in just about every design-related pond there is, which is a blessing and a curse; I don't exactly have a streamlined specialty, but I'm also very flexible.
Tools
Definitely best at working in Illustrator, followed by Photoshop and InDesign in a tie for 2nd. I've fooled around with AfterEffects and Premiere but am absolutely no expert. Pretty good with a DSLR and Lightroom, a little bit of entry-level code experience, and have helped with some social media and SEO in the past.
